Event Log
The Event Log is a record of every notification delivery error that Attendara has encountered. It is the first place to look when a customer reports not receiving a notification.
Accessing the Event Log
Go to Event Log in the main navigation. The page loads the most recent errors in a table, newest first.
If the table is empty with a green "no errors" banner, all recent notifications have delivered without issue.
What the Event Log shows
Each row in the log represents one notification delivery failure. Each row displays:
- Error title — A short description of the type of failure (e.g. "Email delivery failed").
- Error message — More detail about what went wrong.
- Timestamp — When the error occurred.
- Error badge — A red chip confirming the entry is an error.
Expanding an error for details
Click any row to expand it and reveal the full error metadata:
| Field | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Customer | The name of the customer the notification was being sent to |
| Notification Rule | The name of the rule that triggered the failed notification |
| Medium | Whether delivery was attempted via EMAIL or SMS |
| Recipient | The actual email address or phone number that was used |
| Error Details | The technical error returned by the delivery provider (useful when contacting support) |
Common errors and fixes
Email delivery failed — invalid address
The customer's email address is malformed or does not exist. Open the customer's profile and correct the email address. The notification will not be resent automatically — you may need to contact the customer through another channel.
SMS delivery failed — invalid number
The customer's phone number could not be dialled. Common causes: missing country code, incorrect number of digits, or a landline number used where a mobile number is required. Open the customer's profile and update the phone number. Make sure the number includes the country code (e.g. +44 7700 900123).
SMS delivery failed — insufficient credits
Your SMS credit balance ran out before the notification was sent. Top up your credits under Add-ons → SMS Credits. Enable auto-recharge to prevent this from happening again.
Refreshing the log
Click the Refresh button at the top of the page to reload the log with the latest entries. The page does not auto-refresh.
