Managing Appointments
The Attendara dashboard is a split-screen view designed for at-a-glance monitoring. The left side shows your scheduled appointments for any date you choose. The right side highlights items that need your attention.
Dashboard layout
The dashboard is divided into two panels side by side (stacked on mobile):
- Schedule (left) — Appointments for the selected date, ordered by start time. Shows the customer name, event title, time, and a status badge.
- Action Required (right) — Items that need your attention: cancelled appointments and incomplete (error) appointments. These are not date-filtered — they persist until you act on them.
Browsing dates
By default the schedule shows today. Use the navigation controls in the left panel header to browse:
- Forward arrow — Go to the next day.
- Calendar icon — Open a date picker to jump to any date.
- Today button — Return to today's schedule.
Only the schedule panel updates when you change the date. The Action Required panel always shows all outstanding items regardless of the selected date.
Status badges on the schedule
For the full status lifecycle see Status Tracking.
Opening an appointment in your calendar
Clicking any appointment row in the schedule opens the corresponding event directly in Google Calendar or Outlook in a new browser tab. Attendara does not have its own appointment detail page — all editing is done in your calendar.
Action Required panel
The right panel shows two types of action cards:
Reschedule cards (cancelled appointments)
When a customer cancels, their appointment appears here so you can fill the slot. Each card shows the customer name, event label, date/time, and their contact details. The card has two buttons:
- Event — Opens the calendar event so you can delete or reschedule it.
- Customer — Opens the customer profile in a slide-in panel where you can see their full history and contact them directly.
Incomplete cards (error appointments)
When Attendara cannot extract a customer's contact details from a calendar event, it appears here tagged as Incomplete. Each card has two buttons:
- Associate — Opens the error resolution dialog where you link the appointment to a customer.
- Event — Opens the calendar event so you can add contact details and trigger a re-sync.
Auto-refresh
The dashboard refreshes automatically every 5 minutes. If you want to see changes immediately — for example after updating a calendar event — reload the page manually.
