Timezone & Language
Setting the correct timezone and language ensures your notifications are sent at the right time and in the right language for you and your customers.
Timezone
Attendara uses your configured timezone for all notification scheduling calculations. This is the IANA timezone of your business (e.g. Europe/London, America/New_York, Australia/Sydney).
Setting your timezone
- Go to Settings → Preferences.
- Under Company Profile, find the Timezone field.
- Type to search for your city or timezone name.
- Select your timezone and save.
When you first sign up, Attendara detects your browser's timezone and sets it automatically. You should verify this is correct, especially if your browser timezone differs from your business timezone.
Daylight saving time (DST)
Attendara uses IANA timezone data which handles DST transitions automatically. If your region observes daylight saving, the notification times adjust accordingly. You don't need to do anything when clocks change.
For example, if you have a rule that sends a reminder "24 hours before the appointment" and the appointment is on a day when clocks go forward, the reminder is still sent 24 hours before the appointment's clock time — not 25 or 23 hours before.
Language
The language setting controls two things:
- Attendara UI language — The language of menus, labels, and buttons in the Attendara app.
- Default notification language — The language used when selecting templates for customers who don't have a preferred language set.
Setting the language
- Go to Settings → Preferences.
- Under Company Profile, select a Language from the dropdown.
- Save. The Attendara interface updates immediately.
Per-customer language
You can override the default language for individual customers. This is useful if you serve a multilingual clientele — for example, your business operates in English, but some customers prefer French. Set their preferred language on their customer profile and create French notification templates. Attendara will automatically use the French templates when sending to those customers.
